Hi there! I'm Avner, an individual with a strong passion to create positive visible impacts in the community around me to enrich and better peoples live through executing fun and beneficial events!
My passion for helping others was birthed from seeing the smile of a beneficiary during my Secondary School days volunteering. Seeing that I could make an impact and add to someone else's life made me gave me a sense of fulfilment in life and made me passionate wanting to give back for all things I've been blessed with. From volunteering, I realized how privileged we are to be able to simply be able to smile every day, and I wanted to do the same for others. And what better way to make someone smile than through events which I have always conducted and had fun with since Secondary School.
As of now, I have worked on a wide number of events for different demographics ranging from migrant workers to children to youths! Some examples of the events I planned are a Roadshow for New Life Stories, Camps for students at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Westwood Secondary School and a teaching session for children at Life Student Care.
I am currently still learning while also looking for opportunities, to learn and apply my knowledge and skills on research, project management, facilitation as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities to work in collaboration with the team to ultimately support and enrich the lives of the communities around me.

Outside of these, in my free time, enjoy running, reading (Before the Coffee Gets Cold is one of my favorites) and playing board games with others!
Student Leader Investiture 2018. This was where I handed over the leadership mantle over to the next generation of leaders in our school (Kneeling center)
Standard Chartered Annual marathon. Trained hard and took part in this with my friends. (Bottom right)
Be-Dazzled (2017). This was an annual show choir showcase where I had the opportunity to be part of my school's show-choir where we practiced hard daily to both sing and dance clearly and sharply.

Company of Good, Community Building Intern
I had the opportunity to intern at NVPC, Company of Good where I was able to learn more about Corporate Giving and put my event planning skills to use in planning for an online zoom event for over 50 corporate participants!

As Student Council President I was exposed to different forms of leadership like Servant-Student Leadership. I had the opportunity to meet unique individuals throughout my journey here through events like the Youth Leadership Summit @SP and also the Singapore-Brunei Adventure Camp. I was also given an opportunity to attend a masterclass hosted by Halogen.

As this was my first leadership role, it was a challenging experience fitting into my own schedule meetings and plannings for the CCA. It really helped me with my time management and other necessary skills, acting as a stepping stone for me to quickly adapt to other leadership roles.

Throughout my life, I had plenty of opportunities to volunteer at different organizations for different causes. For some occasions, I even had the chance to reach out to organizations to schedule a volunteering opportunity with them.

I attended Ngee Ann Polytechnic and took the diploma in Psychology Studies. While here, I was active in my Outreach Team CCA along with achieving top 3 in my cohort for a semester.

Secondary School
I went to Westwood Secondary School from 2015 to 2018 and graduated with an O Level certificate in 2018. While at secondary school, I was active in school events where I had the opportunity to expand my horizon as I took part and planned for school events and I learnt from many others around me to improve my own skills.
